When a personal trainer agrees to fake date her client, all rules are out the window in this delightful romantic the from the USA Playbook bestselling author of The Boyfriend Project! When it comes to personal training, Taylor Powell kicks serious butt. Does instagram dating site, her bills are piling up, rent is due, and the money situation is dire.
Taylor needs more than the support of her new best friends, Samiah and London. She needs a miracle. And Jamar Dixon might just be it. The oh-so-fine former footballer wants back into the NFL, and he wants Taylor the train him. Is Jamar just playing to win… or is he playing for keeps? I loved the rep, the romance was fantastic and the girl-boss friendships between Taylor, Samiah and London were fantastic!
The banter was also incredible and I loved TayJar together—even though their ship name could do with a bit of work, lol! I have to admit that my feelings about Taylor went source and down. There were moments when the volatility of her thoughts irritated dating but she did a lot of growing up throughout the story and I loved how she would constantly reflect and take responsibility for herself.
Coming from a playbook of successful overachievers she has always felt deeply conscious of how different she is from them. This makes her feel very insecure and she tends to project that onto others, especially her family; however, it has underlying roots that are eventually tackled! This addresses the diagnosis of a learning disorder in an adult and I really appreciated how it was so sensitively playbook While it took some time for Taylor to accept the underlying reasons for her dislike of school and learning, once she does, it is growth all the way to the end!
In contrast, Jamar was a professional athlete who was injured at the height dating his career in the NFL. But I digress! I really sympathised with Jamar and rooted for him to find his happiness. He had a lot to unpack and address with his mental health "dating" Rochon explores that aspect really well.
I loved that this story focused just as more info on their personal growth as it did on their romance without detracting from it either. They were so loving, the and supportive and my heart felt like it grew ten times bigger reading about them. Like Liked by 1 person. Like Like. Great review, Dini! Search for: Close.
